A Love Triangle?

It's pouring rain now and some inhabitants convince that it is a pleasant time to relax. Well, at least it's quite comfy to spill out my random thinking accompanied by my chocolate hot drink and some classical songs.

First of all, don't take it wrong. Regarding the title, it doesn't mean I'll tell you about love, a lovey-dovey couple, or even a romantic story, contrarily I'm going to tell you about a viewpoint which might be experienced by some citizens but a little bit scarce to be exposed in public. Perhaps, you have finished reading the article wholly and you didn't get any points of a love triangle from my writing, then don't blame me because as I have said before "it's my random thinking, encompassing arbitrary topic".
What am I going to talk about? Looking at what media inform us recently, it has to be uncontrollable covid-19 deployment, labor strikes in order to protest the Omnibus laws, corruptions by a minister and his staffs, a riot in Petamburan, or a slaughter in Sigi. Not at all. Take a deep breath, the news pinpoints a plight which reveals the country is so messy and complicated. Is there any good news for the nation? If you feel knackered, maybe you are not alone, at least so do I.
Over several days before, some media tell us that Tesla showed their interest in Indonesia's nickel exerted for producing the battery of the electric vehicles. It was not far from the news, the later information provides that Indonesia delegations have arrived in the USA in terms of negotiation with Tesla to establish a new plant in Indonesia. Interestingly, I read some news that Thailand is also proactive to negotiate with Tesla to build the new plant in the state. Meanwhile, it is quite different from Indonesia because in this case, Tesla teams will be scheduled to come to Thailand (www.cnbcindonesia.com, 2020).
Do you get an intriguing point?
Lemme give you a very simple depiction.
Envisaging that you (boy) are interested in a girl and exactly will trigger your efforts to do more and more, you will endeavor vigorously to obtain her/his heart such as crossing over the ocean to meet her. At the same time, the person that you love is also admired by another man who has more attractiveness and elegancy. The thing that you have to conceive is the girl will come to the man's resident in order to discuss more their future relationships. Can I say that you are in a breadcrumbing relationship? or a dilemma in a love triangle? but it's too early to declare attaining an unrequited love. Hehehe. Idk, I am not a big fan of Korean movies or Indonesian soap operas but the situation is more dramatic peculiarly the advent of the third person. Importantly, the phenomenon is quite fascinating, isn't it!
Okay, let's talk a little bit seriously.
Indonesia and Thailand, both countries are geographically located in southeast Asia with their quirky culture and resources. Yet, when we are talking about business, most investors will tend to choose Thailand as their business partner, relying on the ease of doing business index released by the World Bank which confirms that Indonesia placed in 73rd while Thailand ranked at 21st (www.doingbusiness.org/en/rankings, 2020). I don't want to talk deeply, for example, explaining about the labor market, economic stability, government and regulations, infrastructures, electricity, tax and incentives, supply chain resilience, and other considerable parameters because I need more research. The rate has reflected what's truly happen in this country nowadays.
Picture 1. Map of Africa’s natural resources (www.aljazeera.com, 2018)
As an Indonesian, it's not a good time to be proud of having abundant natural resources. Take a look at Africa, the continent is surely wealthy which consists of minerals and metals, holds 55 percent of the world’s diamonds, 22 percent of the world’s gold, 12.5 percent of the world’s total oil production, and 6.45 percent of the world’s total natural gas production, and many more natural resources (www.nationalgeographic.org, 2020). Unfortunately, the African countries have to deal with several conflicts and civil wars, poor management and inefficient government regulations, corruption, water shortages, poor sanitation services, heavy traffic, starvation, and a thousand complicated issues.
Henceforth, my random thinking disembogues in a query "Is there any guarantee to get the higher leverage by having exaggerated natural resources?" Absolutely not. At the end of this article, don't ask me what we should do next because everyone has their own ways to tackle the issues, I mean a scientist automatically will have different roles and knowledge from an entrepreneur in order to cope with the challenging issues.
Happy struggling for your nation! For sure, I cross my finger for Indonesia!
