Today, I'm reading some news about someone's fail experience in financial investment handled by a renowned financial consultant company (no mention needed). I know that this is not an unprecedented investment failure, so many victims have to deal with financial fraud whether they have a well-educated background or maybe literally a newbie.

The case which evidently has posted on some social media platforms spreads widely and massively and responded by each other customers who have the same case or similar experience using the service of the company. And, booms. . . The case has exploded and become a trending topic in Indonesia's social media. That's kind of social media deploying example, so dangerous and powerful seems like killing by sticking a sword in the middle of the company's heart and automatically hurting your brand which has been built many years.
Since I was Senior High School, Bapak had taught me that "Simultaneously every decision contains risk, once you take a decision, don't flee it and don't blame others no matter what, be a tough girl who has thoroughly responsible". This advice was given to me with the main reason, it happened when I called up and grumbled how's hard living in a big city independently.
Bapak merely said, "It's your choice and you have to be responsible for your decision". Kinda sad but totally true. It is not might be a populist suggestion usually given by a dad to his lovely children, but it's more realistic ones. Well, leaving my family and migrating to the city at an early age for getting a better education quality is my self-determined choice, so I have to cope with the risks. In the end, I am used to considering risk and benefit before making a decision.
In my whole life, I truly endeavor to convince myself in decision making whether the result will be good or bad because I attempt to force myself to be more responsible for every decision that I have made.
Sometimes it seems strange but actually, I have already considered short-term and long-term impacts. Somehow it sounds unrealistic but I have already calculated the risk and benefit.
There will be a cost of every decision. There will be a probability to succeed or fail in every decision. There will be a likelihood to feel stressed, scared, anxious, awry, or maybe silly of every decision. There will be a possibility to give up or strike the difficulties of every decision. There will be a potential to deal with unpredictable things of every decision. But I do believe that there will always be a chance to grow and develop as a human being. Because it's my life and I am absolutely responsible to bring it in a further bright future.
How if someone takes over your life?
It is an unsafe action alert.
It means that you don't have your own control to manage your life continuity.
When someone takes control of your life, your decision will rely on her/his preferences, you will spend more time to hear people's opinion, you will live in populace's mind, you don't have boundaries and doubtful to set your value, you will conveniently blame others, and you can't learn from the failure.
I know this is the hardest phase of life. Sometimes facing a fail is the only choice that we have. Somehow encountering a problem is a notion that you're growing up to be mature.
In terms of investment decisions, my above explanation is able to be applied. As the same as life, the money is yours, which means that you have full control to manage it and I know how hard your working to earn the money. How if I don't have knowledge and experience of financial matters? Learn first. But in economics, we have recognized the time value of money, Will I late in investing? Not really, better late than doing something without knowing the risk.
Manage your life, your money, and exactly your greed because it will keep you being realistic.
I will give you some common questions, what will you do if someone offers you a 15% return on investment? Do you accept it? Is it plausible? What's your reason? My next question, How if someone tells you that gold is an inflation-proof investment? Will you agree with the statement? What's your reason?
Well, let's learn because there isn't an instant way to be excellent, brainy, masterly, and wealthy.
Of course, there will be a cost of learning, for instance, enrolling formal education, attending some courses, joining study clubs, buying some books, and maybe losing some money in business practice. Perhaps, It will drain your time, money, energy, and mind, but learning is always worth fighting for.
